I always wonder why do we make simple relationships so complex that it keeps getting harder and harder to deal with it. The most important relationships in our lives should be made simpler and easier to live with but this is often not the case. We wrap a relationship in so many layers of expectations that it becomes difficult to separate what actually is that matters and what is merely an expectation that we have associated with it. I have heard it from many people that you should not have expectations if you do not want disappointment. I do not completely believe in this theory but I can't completely deny it either. Disappointments are a result of expectations but at the same time when the same expectations come true, they make the relationship even more beautiful.
But then how do you find a happy medium?
